Atletico Madrid and bwin continue agreement till 2020

La Liga football club Atletico Madrid and Austria-based bookmaker bwin has extended their deal for cooperation until 2020. Under the deal, bwin brand will be presented at Atletico’s home stadium, in social networks and on the club’s official website.

“We are pleased to announce the continuation of our cooperation after the brilliant victories of the club on the European stage. We are pleased to be part of the history of the team and look forward to the start of the new season,”  – commented on the extension of the agreement marketing Director at bwin Spain Pablo Ferreira.

 “The partnership agreement with the giants of world football – part of the marketing strategy of bwin in Europe. Atlético are one of the most popular clubs with a rich history, tradition and loyal fans. Club and bwin share the desire to be leaders, so we don’t question the effectiveness of this partnership,”  – said, in turn, Dmitry Sergeev – CEO of bwin Russia.

Cooperation Atletico Madrid and bwin began in 2017. The parties highly appreciated the results of the season, during which the Spanish club won second place in the Spanish League and won the Europa League and bwin has retained its status as one of the leaders of the global betting market.

Atlético are one of the most famous clubs in Europe. With the 2017/2018 season their home games are held at the stadium “Wanda Metropolitano.” The club is a tenfold champion of Spain, a ten-time winner of the Cup of Russia, and also threefold winner of the Europa League (2009/2010, 2011/2012 and 2017/2018).

Bwin – one of the world’s largest bookmakers, games owned by the holding company of the GVC. Among the teams with partnership agreements with bwin brand is the leading European football clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Valencia and others. From 2007 to 2013 bwin was also the main and title sponsor of the Madrid “real.”
