Spillemyndigheden, Denmark’s gambling authority, has confirmed Anders Dorph as its new director. Dorph has been approved by the Danish government to take up the role on November 1. He previously served as deputy director of the Danish Immigration Service.

“Spillemyndigheden is an exciting agency that plays an important role in the regulation of the gaming market. That is why I’m very much looking forward to the task and to collaboration with many talented colleagues,” Dorph said.

“Anders Dorph has an extremely wide professional profile with broad experience from politically led organisations and cooperation across authorities. I look forward to benefiting from his experience,” Morten Bødskov, Denmark’s minister of taxation, said.

Morten Niels Jakobsen, the previous director of the gaming authority, stepped down in August to become director of the Danish Valuation Agency Vurderingsstyrelsen, which is responsible for the public assessment of land and property values.

After starting out as an affiliate in 2009 and developing some recognized review portals, I have moved deeper into journalism and media. My experience has lead me to move into the B2B sector and write about compliance updates and report around the happenings of the online and land based gaming sector.
