Danske Licens Spil has appointed Karsten Fogh Holanng as its new CEO.

Holanng has served as IT director at Danske Spil for the past five years and will take over as chief executive of Danske Licens Spil in February 2022, replacing Niels Erik Folmann, who will leave the business after nine years in charge to join Danish amusement park operator Tivoli.

“Karsten has in-depth knowledge of the business and our partners, and he has delivered great results as IT director at Danske Spil. Now I am pleased that we can draw even more on Karsten’s extensive commercial and managerial experience in the role of director of Danske Licens Spil,” Nikolas Lyhne-Knudsen, CEO of Danske Spil, said.

“I am proud to be entrusted with the task, and I look forward to taking responsibility for the further development of brands and products such as. Oddset, Tips and Casino, which is part of everyday life for many Danes,” Karsten Fogh Holanng said.

Nikolas Lyhne-Knudsen thanked Niels Erik Folmann for his efforts in Danske Spil.

“Niels, together with his entire strong team, has, among other things, succeeded in maintaining our market leader position and balancing our approach to responsibility with strong, financial results. We owe Niels a big thank you for that, and I wish Niels all the best of luck in the new job,” Nikolas Lyhne-Knudsen said.
