List of New Jersey casinos where you can place sports betsReading Time: 2 minutes

The following are the casinos on which one can place legally approved sports bets in New Jersey.

Borgata Casino

The Borgata Casino is arguably the most popular casino in Atlantic City and was the very first casino to launch sports betting operations. The Borgata had everything in place and was ready to go live on the very first day that New Jersey legalised sports betting which was June 15.

The sports betting lounge is located adjacent to the poker room and sports bettor will enjoy the wide range of sports on offer. Borgata has teamed up with GVC Holdings to launch its sports betting platform and so far the casino has brought in $562,830 in sports betting revenue.

Golden Nugget Casino

If you are not keen on going to the Borgata, then step into the Golden Nugget casino which is not too far away from the Borgata. Golden Nugget teamed up with veteran sports betting provider SBTech and offers bettors an innovative sports betting platform with a wide range of sports.

However, do note that Golden Nugget will not be accepting any bets on the NBA. This is because Tilman Fertitta who owns the casino is also the owner of the NBA franchise – the Houston Rockets. As a result, the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) does not allow the Golden Nugget to offer NBA sports betting due to the obvious conflict of interest.

Three Properties Of Caesars Entertainment

If you are a fan of Caesars or part of their loyalty membership programme, then you will be interested to know that three Caesars’s properties in Atlantic City are offering sports betting. You can step into Bally’s, Caesars Casino or Harrah’s and find the sports betting section. Caesars teamed up with Scientific Games to launch its sports betting platform in New Jersey.

Ocean Resort Casino

The name may not be familiar to a lot of people because the casino only opened its doors to the public in June. This casino is located at the site of the former Revel Casino and has partnered with UK bookmaker William Hill to offer sports betting services. It will be difficult to miss the sports betting lounge as it is located in the center of the gaming floor and covers 7500 square feet.

Ocean Resort might be the new kid on the block but that has worked in favour of the casino which brought in over $1 million in sports betting revenue in July – the highest amongst all the other sports betting establishments in New Jersey.

Resorts Casino

Resorts Casino only started accepting sports bets from August 15. The casino teamed up with DraftKings and the Stars Group to launch sports betting services. The sports lounge currently has 15 televisions, a 12 foot video wall, 4 self-service kiosks and 6 betting windows.

Online Betting

While numerous land-based casinos have launched physical sports betting operations in New Jersey, there are currently just a few online sports betting websites taking bets. Golden Nugget is one of those establishments that has online sports betting via PlaySugarHouse.com.

The Borgata also has online and mobile sports betting services up and running. Caesars Entertainment has plans to launch online and mobile sports betting services and is currently in the process of developing its software. As of now, there is no indication as to when these services will be launched.

Sports bettors who prefer going to a racetrack and placing their bets can do so by going to either Monmouth Park Racetrack in Oceanport or the Meadowlands Racetrack.
