Paf acquires two Latvian gaming sites, WilliamHill.lv and MrGreen.lv. The acquisition makes Paf the third largest gaming company in the Latvian market.
The Nordic gaming company Paf invests in the Latvian gaming market by acquiring two Latvian gaming sites from the gaming company 888 Holding Plc. The acquisition includes 888 Holding’s Latvian operations, the gaming sites WilliamHill.lv and MrGreen.lv along with their Latvian licences.
“For Paf, this is a good long-term investment in the Latvian market. We have been operating there since 2018 and we aim to build a stable position in the market,” says Paf’s CEO Christer Fahlstedt.
Paf becomes third largest in Latvia
With the acquisition of 888’s Latvian operations, Paf becomes the third largest gaming company in the market. The new gaming sites acquired by Paf will initially continue under the same brands as before.
“The gaming sites’ current customers will not notice any difference directly when we take over the business. For Paf, it also means that we will have a new office in Riga where more than twenty employees will become a part of Paf,” says Christer Fahlstedt.
888 Holding Plc, better known as 888, is one of the largest gaming companies in the world with operations in several different markets and over 11,000 employees. The agreement between Paf and 888 was signed on 19 May, with Paf taking over the company’s Latvian operations in June.
