Builds on Success in Greece with Additional VLTs and Virtual Sports Channel
NEW YORK, Aug. 8, 2018 – Inspired Entertainment, Inc. (“Inspired”) (NASDAQ: INSE) today announced the extension of its Video Lottery Terminal (“VLT”) and Virtual Sports agreements in Greece with OPAP S.A. (“OPAP”), the leading Greek betting and lottery operator. This new multi-year extension includes the commitment to deliver an additional 965 VLTs and an additional Virtual Sports product and channel.
This agreement will allow Inspired to continue to supply its innovative products and games for server based gaming VLTs in Greece. Inspired will also add another 965 VLTs to its previous contracts to supply 7,395 machines, bringing its total allocation to 8,360, with over 5,000 machines now operating as part of OPAP’s continued deployment of VLTs into its retail network.
Furthermore, Inspired has extended the term of its Virtual Sports agreement with OPAP. OPAP will also be adding another Virtual Sports channel to launch Football Matchday. Football Matchday is being customized together with OPAP to provide a product specifically for Greek players. Football Matchday is being launched before the end of 2018, alongside Rush Football 2, which has been offered since April 2017.
“We are very pleased to continue our strategic partnership with OPAP,” said Lorne Weil, Executive Chairman of Inspired. “We have worked closely with OPAP to deliver the best possible products and we are grateful to be awarded additional machines and Virtual Sports content as recognition. We look forward to extending our success with OPAP.”
“We always look to offer our customers the highest quality of innovative gaming products,” said Damian Cope, Chief Executive Officer of OPAP. “We seek to cooperate with the industry’s leading providers of gaming technology and solutions and we are happy to expand our relationship with Inspired through more VLTs and the launch of a second Virtual Sports channel.”
