Caesars Entertainment Corp., a Nevada-based gaming company, has disclosed the plan to launch to two hotels and a beach club in Dubai. The properties, which are scheduled to begin operations in the last quarter of this year, will be located on the artificial Bluewaters Island, off the Jumeirah Beach Residence coast line.
There will not be casinos in the resorts. Gambling is banned across the United Arab Emirates. This will be the first time that Caesars is operating non-gaming resorts.
The company said in a statement that it has partnered with Meraas Holding, a real estate, tourism, and hospitality company based at Dubai, for the purpose.
As mentioned above, Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai and Caesars Bluewaters Dubai are expected to launch later this year. Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai, named after Caesars’ flagship property Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, will have 178 luxury hotel rooms, two outdoor and one indoor swimming pools, a spa and a health centre, an event centre, a business centre, and six restaurants. There will be facilities for meeting and conference activity.
Caesars Bluewaters Dubai will be even bigger, having 301 hotel rooms for guests, two swimming pools, both of which located outdoors, three meeting rooms, a 9000-square-foot event hall, and food and beverage facilities. Both hotels collectively provide about 5000-square-foot private beach to their guests.
The two new resorts come as a manifestation of Dubai’s strategy to diversify its economy and improve the experience the city offers to both residents and visitors under the Dubai Plan 2021.
