Veikkaus, Finland’s state gambling monopoly, will install a tool on the slot machines from September onwards, allowing players to set a loss-limit.
With this feature, players can limit the losses of their accounts up to a maximum of €500 euros per day and €2,000 euros per month. The country’s ministry of interior had asked the organization to set a loss limit on the slots.
Veikkaus communications manager Pipsa Öhman said the new tool will lower problem gambling: ”The devices know how to connect the player and the loss limits can be followed as players can no longer play anonymously.”
