OlyBet, the premier online gaming and sports betting company in the Baltic region, will sponsor Lithuanian basketball club Zalgiris Kaunas, one of the foremost basketball clubs in Europe, for the fourth straight year. The team reached the EuroLeague Final Four last season.

According to Veiko Krünberg, Managing Director of OlyBet, the company knows the importance of basketball in Lithuania, where Olybet started the operations in 2015. He said the company was interested in the general sponsor position of Lithuania’s top club Zalgiris from the very start.

“We are proud to have contributed to the club’s success during the last three years and after they reached the EuroLeague Final Four last season we were even more excited to continue our support for the fourth year in a row,” Krünberg said.

Basketball is one of the most popular sports in the Baltics – Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia – and the announcement comes just a month after OlyBet became the title sponsor of the new Estonian-Latvian Basketball League. OlyBet Estonian Latvian Basketball League started its first season in September including a total of 15 top basketball clubs from both countries. OlyBet is currently also sponsoring Latvian and Estonian national basketball teams.
