Paddy Power Betfair brings on board new Chief Financial Officer – Jonathan Hill

Paddy Power Betfair a bookmaking business created by the merger of Paddy Power and Betfair announced the assigning of  Jonathan Hill as its new Chief Financial Officer.

Hill, who is anticipated to join the team in autumn,  left insurance and travel company Saga to assume the new role surprisingly stepped down by Alex Gersh earlier this month.

The move was welcomed by new Paddy Power Betfair Chief Executive Peter Jackson said: “We’re delighted that Jonathan is joining us. He brings substantial strategic and operational finance experience in consumer businesses and I am confident he will make a significant contribution to Paddy Power Betfair’s future success.”

Hill, who had been employed at Saga since 2015, was previously the Group Finance Director at Bovis Homes. He has also held senior financial roles at Tui and Centrica.

Hill said: “I am excited to be joining a business with great brands, differentiated products and substantial international scale.

“There are many opportunities to drive shareholder value and I look forward to being part of the team to deliver this.”
