Wednesday 9th May – Racing Post is pleased to announce it has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Apsley Group International. The leading sports betting website and app business owns and operates freesupertips.co.uk and myracing.com , as well as the FreeSuperTips and My Racing Results apps.

The acquisition expands Racing Post’s growing digital business and continues its diversification beyond racing. The association allows Racing Post and Apsley to combine their respective strengths – Apsley’s leading position within digital sports betting platforms and Racing Post’s global reach, brand, content and data.

It is business as usual for both companies with no immediate operational changes, James Prosser and Jake Apperley will continue to run Apsley on a day-to-day basis, with the main office remaining in Bristol.

Alan Byrne, Racing Post CEO and Editor-in-Chief, said: “We are really excited to be joining forces with Apsley. What they have achieved with their digital products has been very impressive and the business is still growing strongly. Providing more sports betting content digitally is a key part of our strategy. We are excited about what the future holds and really looking forward to working with James and Jake and their talented team.

James Prosser and Jake Apperley, from Apsley Group International, added: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with Racing Post. Their strong brand recognition, wealth of experience and advanced technology will enable us to enhance our business and continue our growth.
