The Danish Gambling Authority has presented December’s statistics for the gambling market in the areas of betting, online casino, slot machines and land-based casino.

The total GGR (Gross gaming revenue) for betting, online casino, slot machines and land-based casino amounted to DKK 665 million in December 2023. This is an increase of 22.6% compared to December 2022.

The overall increase for the four areas is driven by increases in the GGR for both betting, online casino and land-based casino, while there has been a smaller decrease for slot machines.

The high increase for bets of 67% must be seen in light of the fact that the rate of return was somewhat less in December 2023 compared to December 2022.

With the latest figures, the GGR for 2023 is now ready for both betting, online casino, slot machines and land-based casino.

The total GGR for the four areas amounted to DKK 6795 million in 2023. This is an increase of 1.0% compared to 2022 (current prices).
